Doral Academy of Texas Campus Cell Phone Policy Reminder
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, we want to remind you of the Doral Academy of Texas Campus Cell Phone Policy in accordance with the statewide mandate signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott, effective June 20, 2025. This policy prohibits the use of personal communication devices (PCDs), including cell phones, during instructional hours for all students across Texas.
What This Means for Our Campus:
-
All personal electronic devices (cell phones, smart watches, tablets, laptops, AirPods/wireless headphones) must be powered off, silenced, and stored out of sight throughout the school day.
-
The use of these devices during instructional hours is strictly prohibited.
Enforcement & Disciplinary Action:
-
1st Offense: Device confiscated and returned to the parent/guardian.
-
2nd Offense: Student will receive In-School Suspension (ISS) and device returned to parent/guardian.
-
3rd Offense: Student will not be permitted to bring the device to campus for the remainder of the academic year.
We ask for your support in reinforcing these expectations at home so that our students can focus fully on learning during the school day.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, focused, and distraction-free learning environment.
